01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

A short walk from Senso-ji Temple, Yoroiya makes an easy, welcoming stop before or after visiting the temple grounds. The shop's signature shoyu ramen features a clear, comforting soup enriched with a hint of fragrant yuzu peel, creating a light, nostalgic profile. Medium-thin noodles catch the broth neatly, leaving you satisfied without feeling weighted down during a day of walking through Asakusa.

Among the toppings, the house twin-yolk seasoned egg is a standout, served in limited daily batches starting from 11:00. Finding two yolks in a single egg is considered auspicious, adding a small touch of temple-town luck to the bowl. Diners can also choose wide flat noodles with the chilled zaru ramen, or opt for extra seasoned bamboo shoots with the shinachiku ramen.

Alongside the noodles, the house Japanese-style gyoza are rolled fresh each morning. Prepared without garlic, these plump dumplings are filled with minced chicken and glass noodles, offering a juicy bite that remains light and non-greasy. Dipped in sansho-pepper salt or the house sauce, they serve as a pleasant side dish or a quick bite on their own.

The kitchen also accommodates diverse dining needs with plant-based ramen and vegan gyoza, as well as half-portion bowls for children. Guests can take a counter seat on the 1st floor to watch the preparation, or sit at a 2nd-floor table for a more relaxed meal, making the shop an approachable dining destination in Asakusa.
